Brian R. Matula is a seasoned attorney with more than 30 years of experience in complex energy litigation and commercial appeals. His practice focuses on advising oil and gas clients across the spectrum of litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters.

Known for his clarity, precision, and sound judgment, Brian has successfully represented clients in high-exposure disputes before the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has handled cases involving royalty claims, lease cancellation, riparian mineral rights, quiet title, nuisance, oilfield accidents, pollution, and class actions related to seismicity.

In addition to his litigation work, Brian counsels clients on oil and gas transactions, regulatory compliance, and negotiations with state and federal agencies. His practical and measured approach has made him a trusted legal partner to energy industry players ranging from independent operators to large corporations.
