Mr. Zingerman is a registered patent attorney and practices in the fields of patent, trademark, unfair competition, copyright, trade secret, and related licensing, and litigation.
Scott Zingerman has focused his practice on intellectual property law and is very active in advising clients with a variety of patent, trademark, and copyright concerns including licensing and procurement strategies. He has been involved in due diligence investigations, written opinions of counsel, and has assisted clients in settling disputes without litigation.
Scott has extensive experience in the acquisition and licensing of United States and International patent rights. This includes patent preparation and prosecution as well as patent litigation, and particularly pre-litigation investigations and discovery and drafting and arguing claim-construction and summary judgment motions.
Scott has also been involved in briefing and argument at the appellate level. He has drafted patent applications and litigated patent disputes in a variety of technology areas including the medical, petrochemical, sporting goods, television, telecommunications, and recycling industries.
Scott is also involved extensively in trademark procurement and litigation including filing and prosecuting trademark applications as well as federal and state court litigation. He frequently represents clients in proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, is active in his church, and enjoys outdoor activities.
