Dr. Young is a registered U.S. patent attorney practicing intellectual property law with particular emphasis on patent prosecution and licensing of medical and surgical devices, biomedical signal processing and biotechnology.

Prior to law school, Dr. Young earned both a BS and MS in biomedical engineering from Boston University. He then graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and completed residency in neurology and fellowships in electromyography, neurorehabilitation and motor control. He is a former assistant professor in neurology at the University of Oklahoma, as well successful private practice physician. Dr. Young used his engineering background in implementing basic science research projects at the University of Florida, Gainesville, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston. Dr. Young has published research on transcranial magnetic stimulation and various human nervous system disorders.
