James F. Lea, III, Shareholder/Director

Mr. Lea is a registered patent attorney practicing primarily in the areas of intellectual property matters, foreign and domestic patents, trademarks and copyrights. Before moving to Tulsa, Mr. Lea worked for a national Dallas based law firm and a Houston based intellectual property boutique firm.  Mr. Lea worked in the private sector as a mechanical engineer for Texaco in the early 1990s. 

In addition to patent, trademark and copyright prosecution, Mr. Lea has worked extensively with corporate counsel on product clearance and infringement analysis prior to the manufacture and distribution of products to the marketplace. Mr. Lea has dealt with a number of technologies including submersible pump technology, subsea drilling equipment, medical implants, microchip fabrication, nanoparticle technology, absorbent article fabrication, sporting goods, mechanical devices, business methods and software applications.
