Since 1987, Blaine Nice has been an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Norman. Nice has exceptional experience in representing municipalities in zoning/planning, contracts, labor matters and workers compensation cases. He has also handled claims and lawsuits against cities.
 

He has worked extensively in development areas such as zoning matters, preparing Planned Unit Developments (PUDS), board of adjustment applications, closing and vacating public easements and other related municipal topics. Nice has served as the Municipal Judge for the City of Del City, Oklahoma and currently serves as Presiding Judge. He also serves as a Municipal Judge for Moore,  Noble, Blanchard, Valley Brook and Spencer, Oklahoma.
 

Nice attained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He graduated Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Pre-Law. Nice also graduated from the Oklahoma City Metro Police Academy. He is a member of the American, Oklahoma and Cleveland County Bar Associations. Nice is also a member of the Oklahoma Association of Municipal Attorneys, serving as its President since 2009. He has also served as President, Vice-President and Secretary of the Cleveland County Bar Association. Nice is admitted to practice in the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, Western District of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Supreme Court.
