Fellers Snider is honored to welcome Robert G. McCampbell to the firm as a shareholder and director. The addition of Mr. McCampbell continues and expands the firm’s rich litigation tradition.

Whether in private practice or as a public servant, Mr. McCampbell’s remarkable legal career has been a path of consistent and noteworthy success. Mr. McCampbell has alternated between private and government practice and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1987 to 1994.  In 2001, he was confirmed as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma and served a four-year term.  As U.S. Attorney, Mr. McCampbell was particularly active as a courtroom prosecutor and successfully tried several cases including trials for securities fraud, illegal internet drug prescriptions by a physician, homicide, and child prostitution.

Mr. McCampbell has worked on many high profile matters including defending then Governor Keating on allegations that he had used state aircraft and vehicles inappropriately, representing Representative Todd Thomsen in an election recount, representing wine wholesalers in a case finding certain wine distribution laws to be unconstitutional, and representing former Senator Debbe Leftwich on allegations of public corruption. At the U.S. Attorney’s Office, McCampbell was the lead prosecutor in the case against financial swindler Charlie Bazarian and in Operation Stormy Nights, a nationally recognized child prostitution investigation. McCampbell also serves as Chairman of the Oklahoma Speakers Ball which occurs at the beginning of each legislative session.

Mr. McCampbell is also an experienced civil trial lawyer having served as lead trial counsel in numerous cases in the areas of contracts, insurance, competitive bidding, election irregularity, trade secrets, and covenant-not-to-compete.  His areas of practice include Administrative & Regulatory Practice, Appellate Practice, Election & Campaign Finance, Healthcare Litigation, Litigation & Trial Practice and White Collar Crime.

In 2009, Mr. McCampbell was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.  He graduated from Yale Law School in 1983, having already received his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University in 1980.  He is admitted to the practice in the Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Mr. McCampbell provides legal commentary on KTOK Radio in Oklahoma City every Thursday morning at 7:35 a.m.

In its five decades, Fellers Snider has developed many of Oklahoma’s leading attorneys. Couched in the philosophies and vision of firm founder and President of the American Bar Association, James D. Fellers, the firm’s unwavering commitment to outstanding litigation continues. We are pleased to announce Mr. McCampbell’s arrival and look forward to his contributions to the firm’s legacy of trial lawyers.
